Mr. Ingber has a diverse background advocating for clients in the entertainment industry, and is the former general counsel and vice president of business affairs for a publicly traded independent record company. Mr. Ingber’s experience as a music industry professional and business executive allows him to offer clients a unique perspective on legal, business and insurance matters based on real world concerns coupled with experienced legal advocacy. Mr. Ingber is a seasoned litigator with substantial experience handling the trial, arbitration and mediation of complex commercial and securities disputes. Mr. Ingber's expertise includes advising and defending companies and their officers and directors in business, employment, entertainment and securities matters. Mr. Ingber's practice includes representing institutions and businesses in litigation disputes involving the motion picture industry and the music industry, including disputes regarding artists' rights, intellectual property rights, and international sales agency agreements. Mr. Ingber has successfully arbitrated and litigated numerous employment cases on behalf of employers and executive officers, and represents large employers in connection with their labor and employment claims. Mr. Ingber also represents commercial and individual property owners in disputes arising from a landlord-tenant relationship, as well as matters involving title insurance. Mr. Ingber's entertainment law practice includes representation of record companies, motion picture production companies, and international sales agents, among others, in connection with commercial and entertainment transactions. Mr. Ingber is a member of the State Bar of California and is admitted to practice before the United States District Court in all districts in the State of California. In his free time, Mr. Ingber enjoys mountain biking and spending time with his family.


temp Karol Ingber is a litigation attorney with more than 20 years of experience. She has supervised all aspects of trial preparation and trial, from managing discovery through verdicts afFirmed on appeal. Ms. Ingber specializes in business and real property disputes, intellectual property litigation, and general liability claims. She has also handled employment disputes and supervised litigation of hazardous waste claims and products liability, including advising manufacturers and premises owners on compliance with state and federal regulation of environmental toxins. Ms. Ingber has handled high exposure cases involving sensitive claims such as the wrongful death of a minor by a nationally-known caregiver, sexual molestation allegations against a Catholic priest, and negligent homicide charges against an officer of the United States Marines. She successfully defended a highly-acclaimed professional baseball player in a negligence action venued in San Francisco and represented one of the world’s most publicized celebrities in a dispute relating to the unauthorized distribution of a videotape. Ms. Ingber has been lead counsel in trials, arbitrations (in and out of state), and restraining order and injunction hearings in state and federal courts; participated in hundreds of mediations and settlement conferences, and conducted and/or defended hundreds of depositions, including experts. She also has significant experience with briefing in the Court of Appeal and has participated in several oral arguments before the panel. Ms. Ingber is licensed to practice before all Courts of the State of California.


temp Benson Lau is an Associate Attorney at Ingber & Associates, A Professional Law Corporation. Mr. Lau first joined Ingber & Associates as a summer associate in 2010 and transitioned to the position of Associate Attorney upon being admitted to the State Bar of California in 2012. Prior to joining Ingber & Associates, Mr. Lau interned at the Office of the Public Defender for the City of Jacksonville, Florida. Mr. Lau obtained his Juris Doctorate from Hofstra University School of Law where he was an active member of the Asian Pacific American Law Student Association and the Sports and Entertainment Law Society. Prior to earning his Juris Doctorate, Mr. Lau earned his Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Southern California in 2007. Mr. Lau’s professional background includes working as a NASD registered financial advisor where he provided investment advice and comprehensive financial planning services to businesses and professionals. Mr. Lau’s finance background gives him a unique ability to identify and relate to client needs and provide practical business and legal advice. Mr. Lau specializes in business law, general litigation, and entertainment law. Mr. Lau has provided guidance to business owners with regards to business planning as well as general corporate matters such as choice of entity planning; the formation, organization, governance and qualification of corporations, general and limited partnerships, and limited liability companies; and employment and consulting arrangements. Mr. Lau has also represented clients in commercial and residential real estate transactions, employment disputes, probate, and bankruptcy litigation. Mr. Lau is a member of the State Bar of California and is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Central District of California. He is also a member of the Beverly Hills Bar Association. In his free time, Mr. Lau enjoys cooking, playing basketball, and following his favorite sports teams – the Los Angeles Lakers, Indiana Pacers, and USC Football. Mr. Lau is also fluent in Cantonese.
